Sondra Williams, the spouse of 49ers offensive deal with Trent Williams, has gone public with the stillbirth of her son Trenton O’Brien Williams Jr. at 35 weeks, after dropping his twin early on in her being pregnant.

“It’s been extremely hard trying to process the saddest Hello and Goodbye that I’ve ever had to endure,” Williams wrote on Instagram Sunday, alongside a poignant video displaying a sonogram and the kid himself after supply. “Last Sunday night on 11/24/24; I welcomed your lifeless 4lb 8oz 18.5 in long little body at 11:38pm. At only 35 weeks, your impactful and quick arrival didn’t even give mommy time to get an epidural.”

Williams expressed gratitude for many who have been by her facet, together with the child’s aunt who lower the umbilical wire, and a nurse.

“I can’t even begin to describe how I felt leaving the hospital without you,” Williams wrote. “Nor how it feels being home celebrating Thanksgiving without my baby in my arms. My heart is broken and my arms are empty. But I know you’ll always be near watching over me and your sisters. And for that, my heart smiles with gratitude.”

Trenton would have joined huge sisters Micah, 15, MaKayla, 11 and Madison, 2.

“My firstborn and only son, I’ve always wanted you, but God wanted and needed you more,” she wrote. “My heart is heavy. Being home without you in my arms has been quite an adjustment. Knowing I will never be able to watch you grow older alongside your sisters has my eyes filled with tears.”

Williams additionally revealed that Trenton had been identified with trisomy 13, often known as Patau syndrome, a uncommon genetic abnormality that happens when an additional copy of chromosome 13 latches onto a pair of chromosomes. It impacts fetal growth and is usually deadly or results in miscarriage, in accordance with the Nationwide Library of Medication.
