The Metropolis Council is required by regulation to verify the nomination for the town’s lawyer, and Goode-Trufant wants a majority of the Council’s 51 members to assist her in a vote. The greater than $250,000-a-year job entails representing the mayor, Council and metropolis companies in litigation.
