A heated assembly of the Home Oversight Committee erupted into chaos on Tuesday when South Carolina Republican Nancy Mace challenged Texas Democrat Jasmine Crockett to a struggle on the Home ground.
Rep. Mace took offense to Crockett calling her “child” whereas criticizing her anti-trans messaging.

“I am no child! Do not call me a child,” Mace interrupted. “Don’t even start. I am a grown woman! I’m 47 years old.”
Mace then shouted over Crockett as she began to talk once more: “I have broken more glass ceilings. You will not do that. I am not a child. … If you want to take it outside, we can do that.”
Republican Rep. James Comer, the committee’s chairman, repeatedly banged his gavel to name for order however didn’t have a lot success.
Later within the assembly, Rep. Maxwell Frost, a Florida Democrat, requested Comer why it was OK for one member of the committee to threaten violence in opposition to one other.
“I did not threaten violence! I threatened no violence!” Mace interjected, shouting over her colleagues once more. “You’re making s–t up as you go along.”
