The Mets have one other potential damage to watch.

Brett Baty left Sunday afternoon’s 9-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays with proper groin tightness and is taken into account day-to-day, supervisor Carlos Mendoza mentioned.

“It was actually on my other side, but it was a similar motion, like stepping over and pushing off,” Baty mentioned.

Baty’s early exit got here a number of hours after Mendoza mentioned fellow third baseman Mark Vientos was set to start a rehab task with Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old Baty has made 27 appearances at third base and 22 at second base this season.

Baty went 0-for-2 earlier than leaving Sunday’s recreation at Citi Area. He’s now hitting .219 with eight dwelling runs, 24 RBI and an .686 OPS in 160 at-bats.
