NYC DMV staff accused of pay-for-license scheme

A Queens driving faculty and a number of Staten Island DMV staff conspired in a pay-for-license scheme that handed out a whole bunch of driver’s licenses to unqualified New Yorkers in change for cash, authorities introduced Tuesday.

Investigators stated T&E Driving College in Flushing marketed itself to Chinese language immigrants and charged them $1,600 to $2,000 for a license, the Staten Island Advance reported.

Police stated the varsity would then repay DMV staff at three areas on Staten Island, in keeping with WNBC. Generally the scheme concerned imposters taking highway exams, and generally the DMV staff would merely challenge the licenses, cops stated.
