The Trump administration Monday ended protections from deportation for about 50,000 immigrants from Honduras and Nicaragua, most of whom have lived and labored within the U.S. for greater than 25 years.

The Division of Homeland Safety stated it has revoked momentary protecting standing from folks from the 2 Central American nations who have been allowed to remain within the U.S. after a devastating hurricane hit the area in 1998.

The push means immigration authorities could deport folks beforehand lined by the standing as a part of Trump’s mass deportation plan geared toward booting as much as 20 million undocumented immigrants, beginning in about two months.
