Van Der Beek, who performed the titular character Dawson Leery from 1998 to 2003, opened up about his stage 3 colorectal most cancers prognosis in November 2024. On the time, the actor revealed he had been “privately dealing with this diagnosis and have been taking steps to resolve it.”
“There’s reason for optimism, and I’m feeling good,” he advised Individuals journal.

Williams, the five-time Oscar-nominated actress, is married to Tony Award winner Thomas Kail — the director of “Hamilton,” which performs on the Richard Rodgers Theatre. The “Dawson’s Creek” reunion will happen on a Monday when the common manufacturing is off.
“We grew up in Capeside, and that’s a bond that will last a lifetime,” Williams mentioned. “We wanted to gather around our dear friend James and remind him that we are all here. We always have been and we always will be.”
