Billy Joel to play Citi Area live performance with Sting on Aug. 21

Billy Joel will play a live performance at Citi Area on Aug. 21 alongside Sting, the performers introduced Thursday.

Tickets go on sale Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. A presale for Citi card holders will start Feb. 10 and proceed by means of subsequent week till tickets are launched to most of the people.

The present on the Mets’ ballpark in Queens can be one among three Joel performs within the tristate space this summer season. The Lengthy Island native will even carry out at Yankee Stadium with Rod Stewart on July 18 and MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., on Aug. 8 with Stevie Nicks.

Joel, 75, famously performed the ultimate two exhibits on the Mets’ earlier ballpark, Shea Stadium, in July 2008 for the “The Last Play at Shea.” Throughout these two exhibits, Joel was joined for numerous songs by Paul McCartney, Tony Bennett, Steven Tyler, Roger Daltrey, John Mellencamp, Garth Brooks and John Mayer.

“Throughout Mets history, there’s always been a special connection with Billy Joel and the Mets,” the staff’s VP of Occasions Nikki Romolo stated in an announcement. “We’re looking forward to welcoming this native New Yorker home for his first concert at Citi Field.”

Sting, 73, has been to a Mets ballpark earlier than as properly. He performed Shea Stadium on Aug. 18, 1983, because the frontman for The Police. He and Joel are scheduled for a number of exhibits collectively in 2025, together with an April 11 gig in Syracuse and a Sept. 5 efficiency in Washington, D.C.
