College of Cincinnati freshman soccer participant Jeremiah Kelly died all of the sudden Tuesday, the college introduced. He was 18 years previous.
Kelly, who enrolled on the college in January, “passed unexpectedly at his residence early Tuesday morning,” the college mentioned in an announcement. No reason for dying was given.
“The Bearcats football family is heartbroken by the sudden loss of this outstanding young man,” head coach Scott Satterfield mentioned. “In the short time Jeremiah has spent with our team, he has made a real impact, both on the field and in our locker room. My prayers are with the Kelly family and those who had the pleasure of knowing Jeremiah.”
A standout offensive lineman, Kelly joined the college squad forward of spring practices after successful a state championship at Avon Excessive College. The spring session ended final week.
“We’ve suffered a heartbreaking loss today,” athletic director John Cunningham mentioned. “All of us at UC send our love and prayers to the Kelly family and we will do everything that we can to support them and our Bearcats student-athletes in the difficult days and weeks ahead.”
