Metropolis Comptroller Brad Lander on Tuesday selected to proceed to trial — and danger a potential jail stint — following his arrest for attempting to examine circumstances below which the Trump administration is detaining migrants at 26 Federal Plaza.

The comptroller declined the supply, selecting to combat the case at a trial.

The pols had been arrested on low-level prices on Sept. 18 after trying to view the tenth flooring on the decrease Manhattan facility, the place migrants have reported being handled like “dogs” in squalid and cramped circumstances.

“I believe the crime is not what we were doing. The crime on that day was on the other side of the 10th floor door, where ICE agents are keeping our neighbors in cruel detention conditions,” Lander stated outdoors the courthouse.

Lander is charged with a misdemeanor alleging he blocked entry to entrances, foyers and different areas on the facility that homes ICE and different federal companies. If convicted, he may serve as much as 30 days in jail.

Charged along with Lander had been Meeting members Marcela Mitaynes, Emily Gallagher, Jessica Gonzalez-Rojas, Claire Valdez, Tony Simone, Robert Carroll and Steven Raga and state Sens. Julia Salazar, and Gustavo Rivera.
