Some companies in New York Metropolis had been closed Monday as a part of A Day With out Immigrants, a nationwide protest strike calling consideration to the function immigrants play within the U.S. financial system.

Many shops alongside Port Richmond Ave. in Staten Island had been closed, together with San Jeronimo Deli & Grocery, which had a vibrant yellow signal on its roll down gate asserting in Spanish why it will be closed Monday.
