Episcopal Church received’t resettle white Afrikaner refugees in U.S.

The Episcopal Church mentioned Monday it might not assist resettle white South African refugees within the U.S. due to its “commitment to racial justice and reconciliation.”

“It has been painful to watch one group of refugees [the Afrikaners], selected in a highly unusual manner, receive preferential treatment over many others who have been waiting in refugee camps or dangerous conditions for years,” Rowe wrote.

Shortly after the letter was revealed a constitution airplane with 59 Afrikaners landed at Dulles Worldwide Airport close to Washington, D.C.

Rowe mentioned it might use its sources to assist immigrants and refugees in different methods. Shortly after his inauguration, President Trump froze most refugee packages and stopped funds to organizations.
