ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former California prosecutor, tv character and shut ally of U.S. President Donald Trump, formally took workplace Tuesday as the primary U.S. feminine ambassador to Greece.

Kimberly Guilfoyle, the brand new U.S. Ambassador to Greece and first lady to carry the put up, speaks with Greek President Constantine Tassoulas throughout a ceremony to current her diplomatic credentials on the Presidential Palace in Athens, Greece, Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025.

Guilfoyle, 56, who was as soon as engaged to Donald Trump Jr., introduced her diplomatic credentials to Greek President Constantine Tassoulas after being sworn in Sept. 29 in Washington.

U.S. Power Secretary Chris Wright and Inside Secretary Doug Burgum are anticipated in Athens this week for talks targeted on increasing Western fuel exports to war-torn Ukraine by a modified multinational pipeline community.

Guilfoyle and the visiting officers are scheduled to fulfill with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and attend ministerial conferences organized by the Washington-based Atlantic Council.

Since 2018, Greece and the US have strengthened navy ties, together with increasing U.S. entry to Greek bases and elevated involvement of American protection contractors in Greece’s multibillion-dollar armed forces modernization program.

Guilfoyle attended a black-tie welcome reception over the weekend in Athens. Joined by native enterprise leaders and several other Cupboard members, she took half in a energetic Greek dance — linking arms with different friends and conserving tempo because the music sped up.

“I know we will do amazing things for these two exceptional countries,” she advised attendees. “I will not disappoint the United States of America. I shall not disappoint Greece.”

At Tuesday’s ceremony, Guilfoyle introduced her credentials after the brand new ambassadors from Norway, Harriet Berg, and Canada, Sonya Thissen.
