TORONTO — George Springer put Toronto forward with a three-run homer within the seventh inning and the Toronto Blue Jays superior to the World Collection for the primary time since 1993 by beating the Seattle Mariners 4-3 in Sport 7 of the American League Championship Collection on Monday evening.
It was the primary go-ahead homer in Sport 7 historical past when a group trailed by a number of runs within the seventh inning or later.
The Blue Jays will host Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Dodgers in Sport 1 on Friday evening when the World Collection involves Canada for the third time. The defending champion Dodgers swept Milwaukee within the NLCS.
