Giants co-owner John Mara declares most cancers prognosis, says he’s ‘optimistic’

Giants co-owner John Mara introduced in a press release on Monday that he has been recognized with most cancers and mentioned he feels “strong and optimistic.”

“I have recently been diagnosed with cancer and have been following the treatment plan recommended by an outstanding team of doctors,” Mara, 70, mentioned. “I’m feeling sturdy and optimistic, and I’m dedicated to seeing this by way of to a constructive consequence.

“I plan to remain active with the team throughout my treatment, and I’m fortunate to be surrounded by incredible support — personally, professionally and medically,” he added. “I ask that you respect my privacy and my family’s privacy at this time.”

The Mara and Tisch households have every owned 50% of the franchise since 1991, with John Mara and Steve Tisch because the controlling house owners for his or her respective households for the reason that passing of their fathers, Wellington Mara and Bob Tisch, in 2005.

The households just lately agreed to promote a ten% minority stake within the franchise to Julia Koch and members of the billionaire Koch household. The sale is predicted to be offered to house owners on the subsequent league assembly in October.
