Ingrid Lewis-Martin, Mayor Adams’ prime advisor and confidante, has resigned from Metropolis Corridor.

Her final day is Sunday, Fabien Levy, Deputy Mayor for Communications, stated.

“Ingrid has not been just a friend, a confidant, and trusted advisor, but also a sister,” Mayor Adams stated in a press release. “We’ve always talked about when this day would come, and while we’ve long planned for it, it is still hard to know that Ingrid won’t be right next door every day. I, and every New Yorker, owe her a debt of gratitude for her decades of service to our city.”

The sudden resignation comes after investigators from Manhattan District Lawyer Alvin Bragg’s workplace and the Southern District of New York seized Lewis-Martin’s telephones and raided her residence in September, proper after she acquired off a flight again to New York from a visit to Japan with metropolis officers and a lobbyist.

Lewis-Martin’s departure, which was first reported by Politico, comes after two sources acquainted with the matter stated tensions emerged between her and the mayor when she went on her lawyer’s radio present within the wake of the raid at her residence.
