Los Angeles Dodgers participant Alex Vesia and his spouse introduced that their first little one collectively, a child lady, died final month.
The couple shared in a heartbreaking Instagram publish Friday that “beautiful daughter” Sterling Sol Vesia “went to heaven Sunday October 26th.”
“Our little angel we love you forever & you’re with us always,” Vesia, 29, and his spouse, captioned a black-and-white picture of the child’s hand and her mother and father’. “There are no words to describe the pain we’re going through but we hold her in our hearts and cherish every second we had with her. … We’d like to thank Cedars Sinai and all the medical staff who helped Kayla and Sterling. Every person we came across was truly so incredible.”
The Vesias additionally thanked the World Collection-winning workforce “for their understanding and support during this time. Our baseball family showed up for us and we wouldn’t be able to do this without them.”
The grieving mother and father thanked “Dodger Nation, Blue Jays organization and all baseball fans for your love and support,” including they’ve “seen ALL your messages, comments and posts. It’s brought us so much comfort.”

The Dodgers commented on the publish, “Thinking of you all and sending so much love.” The workforce’s official account additionally shared the publish on its Instagram Story.
On Oct. 23, the day earlier than the World Collection started, the workforce introduced “with a heavy coronary heart … that Alex Vesia is away from the workforce as he and his spouse Kayla navigate a deeply private household matter.
“The entire Dodgers organization is sending our thoughts to the Vesia family, and we will provide an update at a later date,” continued the assertion.
The Dodgers beat the Toronto Blue Jays final Saturday, marking their second consecutive World Collection win after besting the New York Yankees in 2024.
