One man was hospitalized Wednesday after two yachts burst into flames and sank in Manhasset Bay off Lengthy Island’s Port Washington, authorities mentioned.

The fireplace totally engulfed a 43-foot Marine Dealer boat at Manhasset Bay Marina within the wee hours of Wednesday, then unfold to a 42-foot Put up boat in an adjoining slip, the Port Washington Hearth Division mentioned in an announcement. A 58-year-old man was aboard the Put up boat, authorities mentioned.

Responders from a number of companies rushed to the scene “in single-digit temperatures” at round 12:30 a.m. Wednesday within the Village of Manorhaven, the fireplace division mentioned.
