Mayor Adams denied public matching funds in vital blow to 2025 marketing campaign efforts

Town’s Marketing campaign Finance Board denied Mayor Adams public matching funds for his 2025 reelection run Monday, citing an ongoing corruption case and dealing a big blow to the mayor he works to fend off greater than a half dozen challengers in subsequent 12 months’s Democratic main.

In a quick assembly on the board’s downtown Manhattan places of work, CFB Chair Frederick Schaffer mentioned the panel is withholding matching funds from Adams as a result of it “has determined that there is reason to believe that the Adams campaign has engaged in conduct detrimental to the matching funds program in violation of law.”
