MTA to award $187M administration contract for Second Ave. Subway work

The MTA is ready to award a $186.6 million contract to a three way partnership of administration agency AECOM and HNTB New York Engineering and Structure to supply mission administration and consulting on the subsequent section of the Second Ave. subway.

The contract, which is anticipated to obtain closing approval by the MTA’s board Wednesday, is for overseeing work on the subsequent three contracts of the mission, which is able to prolong the Second Ave. line from its present terminal at E. 96th St. up by way of deserted Seventies-era tunnels to E. 116th St., after which westward by way of a brand new tunnel to E one hundred and twenty fifth St. and Lexington Ave.
