The MTA will likely be operating a minimum of 11 further trains on the commuter railroads Monday as riders head to Manhattan for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Some 2 million spectators are anticipated to move to Midtown to observe the annual celebration of Irish heritage.

Metro-North Railroad will run 5 extra trains on the East-of-Hudson strains, in addition to one extra practice on the Pascack Valley line and one extra practice on the Port Jervis line on the Hudson’s west facet.

The Lengthy Island Rail Highway will run two further trains apiece on the Babylon Department and the Ronkonkoma Department.

Each commuter railroads will ban alcoholic drinks on trains and in stations for twenty-four hours, beginning at 5 a.m. Monday.

The parade down Fifth Ave. can also be anticipated to require momentary reroutes of a number of Manhattan bus strains.
