New Yorkers rejoiced over the choice of a brand new pontiff, Pope Leo XIV, the primary American chosen as Bishop of Rome for the world’s 1.4 billion Catholics.

Anthony Dunn, who was visiting from Philadelphia, mentioned he and his colleagues began texting one another when the white smoke appeared from the Sistine Chapel chimney.

Locals mentioned they have been particularly thrilled that the bridges stretch all the best way to the States.
