The mayor’s workplace first introduced late Sunday that Adams would take a step again this week and cancel most his public appearances as a result of he wasn’t feeling properly and could be present process routine medical screenings. (A spokesperson for the mayor clarified the mayor in his remarks meant this week, not final.)

Amid his absence, rumors swirled that the mayor, who’s beneath federal indictment on corruption fees, was contemplating resigning.  Addressing the religion leaders, Adams stated the rumors are bogus.

“Who started the stupid rumor that I was stepping down on Friday?” he stated to cheers.

The mayor, who has pleaded not responsible to his alleged crimes, is predicted to go on trial in April on the federal corruption fees, about two months earlier than he’ll be up for reelection within the June Democratic major. Adams is going through a crowded filed of challengers.
