NYPD officers exchanged photographs with a pair of armed robbers in Mount Vernon throughout an early morning pursuit Friday, police stated.
Nobody was hit by the gunfire in the course of the 5:45 a.m. firefight on Pearl St. close to W. 1st St. in Mount Vernon, about two blocks from the Bronx border.
The officers, members of an NYPD Bronx Auto Larceny unit, had been on their manner again to their base after they had been alerted by Mount Vernon police a couple of latest armed theft at a gasoline station.
As they continued on, the officers noticed two males who match the outline of the suspects. The cops tried to cease the pair, however they ran off towards Pearl St.
As cops chased them on foot, one of many males pulled a gun and fired off about 4 photographs of their path.
