24-year-old Olympic skier Berkin Usta died alongside his father, Yahya Usta, in a Thursday morning fireplace at a Turkish ski resort, simply hours outdoors Istanbul.
Turkey’s sports activities minister Osman Askin Bak confirmed their tragic deaths in a press release on social media.
”I realized with deep sorrow that our nationwide athlete Berkin Usta and his father, Yahya Usta, misplaced their lives within the fireplace that broke out within the resort,” he mentioned.
