Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, issued a poignant plea to embrace “love, not fear” in a letter to visitors of an upcoming carol live performance she’s internet hosting on Friday, noting “love unites and strengthens us all.”

The letter was penned within the wake of her personal most cancers remedy, reflecting “on the importance of love, empathy and how much we need one another in the most difficult times,” she and husband Prince William introduced in an Instagram publish.

The princess emphasised the Christmas story “reflects our own vulnerabilities and reminds us of the importance of giving and receiving empathy, as well as just how much we need each other in spite of our differences.

“Above all else, it encourages us to turn to love, not fear. The love that we show ourselves and the love we show others. Love that listens with empathy, love that is kind and understanding, love that is forgiving, and love that brings joy and hope,” she wrote.

The missive is slated to be given to every honoree of her Collectively at Christmas Carol Service at Westminster Abbey and 15 Neighborhood Carol Companies throughout the nation in thanks for his or her service to others. The princess has hosted the annual carol service since 2021, bringing collectively these “who have shown kindness towards others in their communities,” in keeping with an announcement from Westminster Abbey, the place the occasion will likely be held.

Royal relations “and recognizable faces who in their own ways have shown how love can help others thrive” will likely be among the many 1,600 within the congregation. The service will mix “traditional and modern elements” and embody carol performances by the famend Abbey Choir, in addition to performances by Paloma Religion, Olivia Dean and Gregory Porter, in keeping with Westminster Abbey.

Among the many invited visitors will likely be relations and survivors of the stabbing assault on a kids’s Taylor Swift-themed yoga and dance class July 29 in Southport, England. Three women had been killed and several other others wounded.

On Tuesday, Middleton will be a part of Prince William to greet the Emir of Qatar and his spouse on their arrival for a two-day state go to, displaying her additional return to public royal duties after a most cancers prognosis and several other months of chemotherapy.
