Richard Davis, the president of New York Metropolis’s largest transit employee union, TWU Native 100, has abruptly gone on sick go away — a transfer a number of sources say comes amid efforts to power the union boss from his job lower than 3 weeks after his re-election.

In December of 2023, Davis was accused in a regulation go well with of beating up one other bus driver with whom he was romantically concerned. The lady accused Davis of punching her within the head and inserting her in a headlock throughout an argument in 2015, and assaulting her once more in 2016.
Davis has denied all allegations, and the lawsuit is ongoing.
