Sally Kirkland, a prolific Golden Globe-winning star of stage and display who was additionally nominated for an Academy Award, has died.

The actor died early Tuesday morning in Palm Springs, her supervisor confirmed to Selection, after being positioned in hospice final week with a prognosis of dementia. She was 84.
