In some unspecified time in the future, the footage confirmed, the person set the hen down on the seat beside him and disembarked — leaving his feathered pal behind.
“The chicken remains seated,” one supply narrated, opining that the hen was “properly, respectfully seated” throughout its trip, and “did not appear to violate any Transit rules.”

The hen was quiet sufficient it was apparently missed when the prepare crew checked the subway for stragglers after parking on the layup monitor south of Astoria-Ditmars at about 10:30 p.m. on the finish of the night time.
In a report back to MTA’s rail management, one transit employee added that the hen was refusing to depart.
