A 2-year-old was struck and killed by a automobile at a Lengthy Island state park on Sunday afternoon, authorities stated.

The unidentified toddler was at Belmont Lake State Park in North Babylon after they have been struck by a 2016 Acura in a parking zone round 2:45 p.m., New York State Police stated in a press launch.

The Acura driver instantly referred to as 911 and cooperated with investigators on the scene about 30 miles east of Central Park, state police stated. Cops decided the crash was a tragic accident and no felony costs can be filed. The driving force was not publicly recognized.

The car-child collision in Belmont Lake State Park was not the one lethal vehicular accident on Lengthy Island on Sunday.

About 10 miles west in East Meadow, a 55-year-old man was killed in a two-car crash between a Nissan Altima and a Nissan Maxima, Nassau County police stated in an alert.

The Altima was pushed by a 57-year-old lady with the 55-year-old man and a 56-year-old lady as passengers, based on investigators. The car collided with the Maxima, pushed by a 40-year-old lady, on the intersection of Salisbury Park Dr. and Carman Ave.

Whereas the 55-year-old man was killed within the wreck, the opposite three victims suffered minor accidents and are anticipated to recuperate. Cops didn’t publicly establish any of the victims.
