WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration says it’s eliminating greater than 90% of the U.S. Company for Worldwide Improvement’s overseas assist contracts and $60 billion in total U.S. help all over the world, in line with an inside memo obtained by The Related Press.

It particulars the result of a 90-day evaluate ordered by President Donald Trump of all the cash offered by USAID and the State Division for improvement and assist work abroad.

The transfer leaves few surviving USAID initiatives for advocates to attempt to save in what are ongoing courtroom battles. The Trump administration outlined its plans in each the memo and courtroom filings Wednesday.

The Washington Free Beacon was the primary to report the cuts.

The memo described the administration as spurred by a courtroom order that gave officers till the top of day Wednesday to carry the Trump administration’s monthlong block on overseas assist funding.

“In response, State and USAID moved rapidly,” concentrating on USAID and State Division overseas assist applications in huge numbers for contract terminations, the memo mentioned.
