Greater than two dozen folks had been injured Thursday morning after two NJ Transit buses collided on the ramp into the Port Authority Bus Terminal.

The crash occurred shortly earlier than 9 a.m. Thursday on Ramp 96, resulting in the terminal from the Lincoln Tunnel, Port Authority spokeswoman Cheryl Albiez mentioned in an announcement.

An FDNY spokesperson mentioned 29 folks suffered “minor injuries” within the crash.

Port Authority Police and metropolis emergency companies remained on scene as of 11 a.m., and an investigation into the reason for the collision was ongoing.

A passenger on a NJ Transit 135 bus from northern New Jersey — not concerned within the crash — mentioned their driver let passengers out on the road outdoors of the terminal amid delays from the collision.
