Federal brokers tackling a Venezuelan immigrant in a New Hampshire courthouse clipped an aged man strolling by with a cane and knocked him clear off his toes, graphic video exhibits.

The person they had been arresting, Arnuel Marquez Colmenarez, 33, had proven up for an arraignment on Feb. 20 to face prices of drunk driving, driving with no license and failing to supply data after an accident stemming from his Feb. 9 arrest.

Colmenarez has since been transferred to a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Texas, in line with a web-based database accessed by The Related Press. ICE didn’t reply requests for remark.

Unaware that their defendant had been arrested, prosecutors deemed Colmenarez a no-show and the decide issued a bench warrant for failure to seem.

On the video, the brokers could possibly be seen following their goal into the elevator on the courthouse’s third ground as he arrived for his 1 p.m. arraignment. Nashua Circuit Courtroom launched the safety digital camera footage final week exhibiting the brokers working after Colmenarez when he left the elevator, slamming him to the ground and cuffing him and leaving a shocked aged bystander flat on his again.

The brokers had been from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) and had been working with ICE to spherical up immigrants alleged to be within the U.S. illegally, New Hampshire Public Radio reported.

Witnesses had been aghast on the violence of the takedown.

“Why is he so violently hustled to the ground the way he was in such an unsafe manner for him and everyone else around him? Why? What was the urgency?” one witness informed WMUR.

“Unacceptable. That’s all I could think of,” the individual stated. “I was just so furious. I would not expect this in a courtroom in America.”
