The race for New York Metropolis mayor is getting chippy!

Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani, in a video on Saturday, introduced a scavenger hunt that can happen throughout New York Metropolis, as he munched on potato chips and mocked an ex-adviser to Mayor Adams.

Whereas giving the rundown on the scavenger hunt, Mamdani clarified that the prize is “not a wad of cash.”

Mayor Adams was not amused on the chips-chewing video or his opponent’s whimsical occasion.

“Apparently Mamdani is doing a scavenger hunt in the city. This run around is exactly what he plans to do with your safety, your housing and your taxes. It’s all kid’s play for Mamdani,” Adams clapped again on X.

Greco met up with The Metropolis reporter, Katie Honan, at a Complete Meals Market after an Adams marketing campaign occasion. Greco pressed into her palms a bag of potato chips that contained a pink envelope with a $100 invoice and several other $20 payments, in line with The Metropolis.

“I’m so sorry. It’s a culture thing,” Greco stated after Honan advised her she couldn’t settle for the money, in line with The Metropolis. “I don’t know. I don’t understand. I’m so sorry. I feel so bad right now.”

In response to the report of the cash-filled chips bag, Adams’ reelection marketing campaign stated it had suspended Greco from additional work as an unpaid volunteer and that Adams had no prior information of Greco’s actions.

Greco’s lawyer, Steven Brill, advised The Related Press that the scenario was being “blown out of proportion.”

On Friday, Andrew Cuomo mocked the incident by leaving a bag of chips on each reporter’s chair throughout a press convention.

“Don’t shake your head at me, I thought you might be hungry,” Cuomo stated, laughing. “Sometimes a bag of potato chips is just a bag of potato chips.”
