1199SEIU, the biggest healthcare union within the nation, endorsed Zohran Mamdani on Friday as main organized labor teams coalesce behind the Democratic mayoral nominee following his upset major win over former Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
Mamdani has already garnered the backing of DC37, 32BJ, the Resort Gaming and Trades Council and the United Federation of Lecturers, amongst others. A lot of these unions beforehand supported Cuomo, together with 1199.
