President-elect Donald Trump wished his pals and enemies a “Happy Thanksgiving” on Thursday, particularly saving time for “radical left lunatics.”
“Happy Thanksgiving to all, including to the radical left lunatics who have worked so hard to destroy our country, but who have miserably failed, and will always fail, because their ideas and policies are so hopelessly bad,” the incoming president wrote on his personal social media platform, Reality Social.
“Don’t worry, our country will soon be respected, productive, fair, and strong, and you will be, more than ever before, proud to be an American!” he continued.
In the meantime, in his final Thanksgiving message as commander-in-chief, President Biden struck an easier and fewer divisive tone.
“Happy Thanksgiving, America,” he wrote on X. “May we use this moment to take time from our busy lives and focus on what matters most: Our families, our friends, our neighbors, and the fact that we’ve been blessed to live in America, the greatest country on Earth.”
The vacation week wasn’t all peaceable for a few of Trump’s cupboard nominees. On Tuesday evening and into Wednesday morning, a number of proposed administrative leaders had been hit with bomb threats and swatting calls.
Trump’s chosen EPA administrator, Lee Zeldin, nominee for commerce secretary, Howard Lutnick, and choose for United Nations ambassador, Elise Stefanik — all New Yorkers — had been amongst these affected by the threats, none of which had been respectable.
