Mayor Adams nets largest fundraising haul in re-election bid in wake of Mamdani major win

Mayor Adams raked in $1,556,155 within the newest marketing campaign fundraising interval — his largest haul but on this election cycle.

Practically all of that money, or $1,513,328, flowed in after Zohran Mamdani’s upset victory on major day.

The majority of the mayor’s new marketing campaign money seems to come back from fundraisers held after Mamdani’s win, which has despatched shock waves by town’s enterprise group. Practically $1 million was rasied at at fundraiser hosted by actual property agency SL Inexperienced final Wednesday, his marketing campaign stated.

CEO Marc Holliday hosted the fundraiser for the mayor at One Madison, the agency’s flagship Flatiron District skyscraper. Sixty-four workers of SL Inexperienced donated the mayor, totaling $67,301, per the filings, which have been launched Wednesday morning.

Kenneth Fishel, who hosted a July 5 fundraiser within the Hamptons along with his spouse Maria Fishel, maxed out his contribution to the mayor on July 2.

A spokesperson for the mayor’s marketing campaign didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.

The mayor was denied public matching funds Tuesday by town’s Marketing campaign Finance Board on the grounds that the marketing campaign has failed to reply to the board’s requests for numerous documentation, together with data associated to his federal corruption indictment.

A choose dominated earlier this month that the board couldn’t use the indictment itself as cause to disclaim funds, since these expenses have been dropped.

The board has withheld a complete of greater than $3 million in matching funds for the re-election marketing campaign since December.

Mamdani netted $1 million in matching funds on Tuesday, along with a brand new haul of $853,018 from the newest interval, from mid-June to mid-July.
